FFW S.r.l. is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website www.seven-gauge.com, in compliance with Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 27, 2022, implementing European Directive 2019/882.

FFW S.r.l. believes it is a collective moral obligation to enable access to information, products, or services without obstacles or barriers so that everyone can live with dignity, equality, and independence. 1.   Accessibility Requirements and Applicable Standards

The requirements for digital accessibility are defined by Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 27, 2022, "Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019, on accessibility requirements for products and services", which references the UNI EN 301549 standard for technical aspects.

Specifically, the website's compliance must be evaluated according to the criteria indicated in chapters 9 "Web" and 10 "Non-web content," which refer to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA.

The four core principles of digital accessibility as defined by WCAG 2.1 are:

  • Perceivable – Content is presented clearly and understandably.
  • Operable – The interface is easily navigable by all users.
  • Understandable – Information and interactions are intuitive and easy to interpret.
  • Robust – The site is compatible with commonly used assistive technologies.

Based on the UNI EN 301549 standard mentioned above, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria for evaluating a website's accessibility, technical analyses were conducted on the site’s content. This includes both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and two-way interaction features such as digital form submission and the completion of authentication, identification, and payment processes.

Areas Excluded from Application

Article 1, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 states that the decree does not apply to the following website and mobile app content:

  • pre-recorded time-based media published before June 28, 2025;
  • office file formats published before June 28, 2025;
  • online maps and mapping services, provided that essential navigation information is made available in accessible digital form;
  • third-party content that is neither funded nor developed by the relevant economic operator and is not under their control;
  • website and mobile application content considered to be archives, meaning they contain only content not updated or edited after June 28, 2025.

 

2. General Description of the Service

This site is intended for end consumers and provides an online shopping service for the Seven Gauge brand, allowing users to browse, select, and purchase the company's products. Users can explore the site using filters, add items to their cart or wishlist (if registered), register to access their personal area, and manage orders, returns, and personal details. In addition to providing a full purchasing process, the site also allows users to subscribe to the newsletter, access customer service, and contact the company.

 

3. How the Service Works

The website is accessible via desktop, tablet, and smartphone using the main web browsers currently available, and is offered in both Italian and English.

Site navigation is designed to be intuitive and consistent, through a main menu that provides direct access to key sections (product categories, campaigns, and brand pages).

Below is a breakdown of how the main site services work:

  • Browse products: Users can browse the available products by accessing menu items organized by category and selecting their desired product type.
  • Access the reserved area: Users can register and access their personal area by selecting the relevant option from the dropdown menu in the header. On the dedicated pages, they can log in or create an account by entering the required information.
  • Add products to favorites: Registered users can add products to their wishlist by clicking the “Add to wishlist” button in the product preview or the dedicated icon in the product page. Favorited items are visible in the “Wishlist” page, accessible from the menu after logging in. Items can be added to the cart or removed from there.
  • Make a purchase: Users can purchase products by selecting the item and clicking the “add to cart” button in the product page after selecting the size. To proceed to checkout, users must click the dedicated menu item at the top, go to the next checkout screen, log in or enter their details without registering, and select a payment method. Once all fields are completed, the order can be submitted to complete the purchase.
  • Request a return: Both registered and unregistered users can request a return by going to the “Request a Return” section in the menu and completing the dedicated form. Registered users can also do this from their personal area.
  • Search navigation: Users can search for a product by entering keywords into the search bar at the top of the page (header).

Beyond user-activated features, the UserWay PRO widget can detect many site accessibility issues and apply real-time fixes without changing the source code—only the content rendered in the browser. This improves usability for all users, including those using assistive technologies.

 

Web content accessibility for users with assistive technologies—such as screen readers, alternative keyboards, or voice commands—is further supported by ARIA attributes. These describe the role, state, and properties of UI elements, communicate dynamic interactions (e.g., expandable menus, modals, sliders), and support keyboard navigation in complex components.

Compliance Status

To determine the site's compliance status, the AgID guidelines and evaluation checklist were used.

This website is partially compliant with the requirements outlined in Appendix A of UNI CEI EN 301549. Since it was published before 06/28/2025, the company plans to achieve full compliance upon the future launch of a new website.

 

5. Accessibility Monitoring Process

Upon a future update of this website, FFW S.r.l. will focus on ensuring the service meets digital accessibility standards and may involve external consultants for the following activities:

  • technical audit through a gap analysis;
  • user testing of main flows using assistive technologies;
  • analysis of technologies, plugins, and third-party services used on the site;
  • reporting of gaps and non-compliance identified during testing;
  • validation of applied fixes;
  • preparation of public accessibility documentation;
  • staff training on digital accessibility best practices;
  • definition of internal policies and procedures for handling accessibility-related support requests.

FFW S.r.l. intends to perform periodic technical checks to monitor the site's accessibility, possibly involving third-party specialists, to implement improvements based on user feedback.

If so, these audits will be carried out by an external accessibility consultant using up-to-date tools, semi-automated code checks, manual user testing, and assistive technologies.
